Zeb Jackson led the way for VCU with a game-high 18 points, seven assists, and three steals. He orchestrated the offense with precision, finding open teammates and creating scoring opportunities for himself.
The Rams controlled the tempo of the game from the opening tip. Their defense held Alcorn State to just 22% shooting from the field in the first half, allowing them to build a 44-25 lead.
The second half saw VCU maintain their dominance. They continued to share the ball effectively and knock down open shots, extending their lead to as many as 32 points.
