Rhody MBB’s Schedule Pairings – What to Like and What to Dislike

On June 13, 2018, the schedule pairings were announced for all 14 of the Atlantic 10’s men’s basketball teams. For the Rhode Island Rams, their pairings were listed as follows (the teams in italics will play the Rams at home and on the road):

Home: Fordham, George Mason, George Washington, St. Bonaventure, Davidson, Dayton, Massachusetts, Saint Louis, VCU

Away: Duquesne, La Salle, Richmond, Saint Joseph’s, Davidson, Dayton, Massachusetts, Saint Louis, VCU

What to like:

  • Home matchups with Fordham, George Mason, George Washington, and St. Bonaventure
  • Road matchups with Duquesne, La Salle, and Richmond

What to dislike:

  • Playing Davidson and Saint Louis twice should have its dangers this season
  • Playing at Saint Joseph’s will be a tough contest

Playing Dayton, Massachusetts, and VCU twice are all question marks right now because all three of those teams could disappoint just as much as they could contend.
