Davidson landed a commitment from 6’9” forward Nelson Boachie-Yiadom on Tuesday following a weekend visit. Boachie-Yiadom was a captain for the U18 Great Britain national team and currently plays for Loomis Chaffee in Connecticut. He joins guards Michael Jones and David Czerapowicz as the third commitment in Davidson’s 2018 class.

Boachie-Yiadom is long and athletic, allowing him to be a menace on defense. He is also quite skilled for somebody his size; Great Britain used him to break presses during the FIBA U18 European Championship due to his well above-average passing and ball-handling ability.
While still developing as a shooter, Boachie-Yiadom has a high floor as a solid rotation player, but his athleticism and basketball IQ could allow him to develop into a monster in the A-10.
